In addition to correcting technical elements such as spelling, punctuation, data verification, and ensuring the accuracy of footnotes and indexes, editing also focuses on enhancing the overall quality of a story, article, or manuscript. An effective editor improves clarity, readability, logic, and flow, ensuring that the content is engaging and meaningful. Ultimately, the goal is to tailor the piece to meet the needs of the audience, making it more impactful and enjoyable.
Launch
The Launch was hosted on the World Bank Live channel on March 31, 2022 from 8:00-9:15. The discussion featured a short presentation by the authors (approximately 10 minutes) and then a round table discussion with 3 panelists which was moderated by Michal Rutkowski, Global Director of Social Protection and Jobs. The diverse panel had representatives of academia and governments. Each panelist spoke briefly to 2 or 3 questions which are designed to showcase the ‘case’ or ‘story’ of each. We can adjust somewhat interactively in response to reactions you may have and as we finalize the list of panelists and their respective stories, but we make a starter suggestion here. The panel was in English. There was Q/A moderated in chat function.
