SPL-LCR Retreat 2015
The objectives of the retreat were to enhance teamwork and explore strategies for building business in the region. The website features a survey that measured staff interactions across regions and with Global Practices (GPs), along with communication maps that illustrate the relationships within the team and with members of our GP or other GPs. The retreat provided an excellent opportunity to share experiences, exchange knowledge, and strengthen collaboration.

The retreat aimed to explore the future vision of the Global Practice (GP) and its operational implications, offering a forward-looking perspective. It highlighted country-level experiences, promoted diverse participation, encouraged open dialogue, and fostered an environment of enjoyment and collaboration. The theme of the retreat was inspired by the film 2001: A Space Odyssey, which added a unique and thought-provoking layer to the discussions and activities.

SPL-LCR Retreat 2017
Before the retreat, a survey was distributed to assess the team’s skill inventory and multi-GP affiliation map. Staff were encouraged to update their Skill Finder page prior to completing the survey. During the retreat, a Skills Fair provided a valuable opportunity for team members to reflect on both their own hard and soft skills, as well as those of their colleagues. Additionally, an interactive map was used to highlight the GP’s engagement areas in LAC, offering insights into trending topics in LAC Social Protection and the demands of regional governments.
